Looking for more of a Matte Lip Look?

It may sound silly, but the solution for getting the perfect Matte Lip is as easy as having a little bit of eyeshadow. Heres what you do:

1. Start off by picking out the lip color you want to wear. It doesn't matter what type of lipstick it is, because at the end it will be as matte as possible.

2. Next pick out a few different eyeshadow colors. If you love the color of the lipstick you are using try to find one that matches the lip color. If you want to change the lip color a bit, then find colors that are close to the shade of lipstick you're using, but slightly more the color that you would want the lipstick to be. Don't be afraid to pick out three or four shadows that you want to mix together.

3. Also make sure the get a light highlight color. Matte lips can sometimes make your lips look a little 2D, but if we highlight in the right places, then we can add that full look back to your lips.

4. Now apply the lipstick that you picked out. Even if the lipstick is a "matte" lipstick it always seems to have a bit of a shine to it, but were going to fix that.

5. Start apply the eye shadows you chose to your lips. Use whatever brush you prefer-- I like an angle brush best. Make sure that if you're using something like a lip brush that the brush is dry and doesn't have any other product on it that could wet the shadows. If the shadows are applied wet they will just look more shiny then it did originally!

6. Try applying as much of the shadow as you can. Apply the dark colors to the corners of your lips and the lighter ones towards the center of your lips.

7. Next you want to apply the highlight color you picked out. Apply right on the center of your lips.

AND NOW YOU HAVE THE PERFECT MATTE LIP! Keep in mind that this will not last all day, but will last for a fairly long time.

Light Up Your Eyes

It's so easy to compliment your eyes and make them really stick out with a simple splash of color. Follow these simple steps:

1. Find an eyeshadow color that compliments your eyes perfectly.
2. Apply a light, shimmering champagne color to your eye lids.
3. Apply the eyeshadow color that compliments your eyes onto your lower lash line making the color more intense near your outer corner and slowly lightening and feathering it in as it gets closer to your inner corner.
4. Apply a matte highlight to your inner corner and eyebrow bone.
5. Apply your favorite eyeliner and mascara with a light coral shaded blush and a nude lip.

This helps to keep all of the attention on your eyes and will make them stick out more beautifully than ever.

The Beauty of Blush

Blush is such an important part of your makeup. While foundation may be necessary for a lot of people to even out your skin tone, however it can also make your face appear like it has no color, so blush is what is going to be the brightness back into your face. Here are some great tips on how to apply blush perfectly.

1. Make to use a nice full brush to apply it and once that you have the color on it to tap off access from the brush.
2. Only apply the color starting at the apples of your cheeks and sweeping upward and outward on your cheekbone.
3. Dusty Role and light pink colored blushes go with almost every skin tone, so if you're looking for the right blush you might want to start with those.
4. If you have oily or combination skin try using a powder blush. If you have dry skin you probably want to use a cream blush.
